I meant to do my makeup like Twiggy and take some fun shots of it, but, alas… I have not yet. I’ll do it sometime!
We have had a lovely Sunday today, and my husband has been so good as to take some delicious pictures of me so you can see my newly reddened & shorn hairdo.
I was indulging in some extremely elegant “Petit Ecolier” chocolate biscuits. DeeeeLISH!!

Notice the “Ladybug” nails?? They were fun & easy!!
Hazel and Kaleid joined us for a moment…

Skirt: Simplicity pattern (I think). Nude Ice Skating shirt: Thrifted from D.I.. Earrings: DIY. Scarf: Thrifted from D.I.. Bronze Pointed Stilettos: Thrifted from D.I.. Wrinkle Nylons: SockTheory.com (I think – It’s been a while!).
On a completely unrelated note, have you ever felt like everything in life just came together all at once, and things are finally going great?? That’s how my life’s been lately… I have SO much to be grateful for, and the future just seems brighter and brighter with each day that passes.
I recently finished my second class at college, Beginning Sewing, with an A. And even though I’ve been sewing for 15 years, there were STILL some great basics that I learned – it has been a great experience!! My finished project was the skirt I’m wearing above, and I’ve since made another (red) version of the skirt. It’s a very simple A-line pattern, which lays well and is a great staple to have. I want one in every color and pattern!! And for the first time in my life, I’ve made something to wear that was completely, professionally finished – not just thrown together and sort of “jimmy-rigged”. I LOVE it!! And even though I’m 10 years older than most of the other students in my class, I got the best grade on my final out of all of them, as well as feel much more inclined to take it seriously than I would have 10 years ago. I think I’ll be taking courses for the rest of my LIFE!! I want to learn EVERYTHING!!
I just roped my friend Heather into applying to the school, and she’s already signed up for a couple fun classes. We’re both psyched to start Fall semester next week!
About a month ago, I decided I was going to try and live by a morning routine/schedule every day, and the result has been that I’ve exercised atLEAST 5 days a week!! I’m already noticing changes in my legs, and it has been great for me in other areas as well. I get in my spiritual studying every day, as well as most of my cleaning/mom duties. As long as I stick to a routine, it’s much easier for me to be a happy mom and not grumble about having to do the dishes every day.
LIFE IS GOOD!!
